Wedding Box Card

I am so excited to share that my oldest son married his love on July 25.  We adore our new daughter.  She is amazing AND a wonderful addition to our family.  I wanted to make a special card for them, one that they could display in their home to remember their special day.  The card I made is similar to the one shown; however, their card did have two pictures on it so they could remember their wedding.

This card is so much fun to make.  Patrick makes the boxes and cuts the designer series paper, then I put it all together.  This card has a place on the back to write a special sentiment.   The wedding colors were coral and mint, so I made this card in those same colors.  It is stunning!  I added two sentiments to the box center along with coordinating hearts.  Each side of the box has a different sentiment with coordinating stamps.  This card would fall into the advanced card making category.  However, once you get the box cut and scored, the rest really is quite easy.

Here are a few other pictures.

This view shows "cheers for the new mr. and mrs." with clinking wine glasses.  I used glimmer paper and colored it with the coral color.   Adding a few ties at the glass stem finishes this panel off nicely.

The back panel shows the word "love" which shares the idea for this card.  This word was cut from the expressions thinlets and adhered with tom bow multipurpose glue.
This view shows a double heart embellishment along with the white embossed "just married" sentiment.  I used tulle as filler inside the center to give it the finished look.  This card is a special one.                                                                                                                           If you would like to learn how to make this card, please send me a note.  I am holding a "Box Card" workshop in September, so you can learn how to make your own cards.  Sign up for this class on my Stampin' Up! site.  I also have this one on sale at my Etsy site, along with a few other box cards featuring the birthday and graduation theme.
Thanks for taking a look at this beautiful card.  Have a blessed day!!

"Haunt Ya Later" Halloween Card

No school today (smiles), so I was excited to work in my craft room finishing up some holiday coasters for an upcoming Holiday Bazaar, and then had some time to make a Halloween card.  I decided to pull out my brayer and create a spooky card with a fun new stamp set I received last week. I had A LOT of fun working with the brayer inking technique today.  The Halloween card turned out "cute and spooky" all at the same time.  Check it out and let me know what you think.    Thanks for stopping by.    To view the supplies needed for this card, check out the  Halloween Card Gallery .
